The trucks,
specification by specification
Battery, range, charging and price for the long-haul electric trucks this site models — with every number labelled by where it came from. Manufacturers' claims are marked as claims; our estimates are marked as estimates.
MAN eTGX (Gen-2, IAA 2026)
720 km claimed, 660 kWh net, 750 kW megawatt charging — and what that costs.
Full specifications →Windrose R700
729 kWh, around 670 km loaded, roughly $250k — the price reference for electric long-haul.

The two above are documented in depth. Every truck of the Transport & Environment comparison of August 2026 has a specification sheet of its own — pre-filled from published figures, open for anyone to correct after confirming by e-mail — and every one of them can be picked, by brand and model, in the quick check, the business case and the head-to-head.

3Range calculator
Manufacturers quote range under conditions you will not have. This works the other way round: start from the loaded range, then apply what your duty actually looks like. The result is a planning number, not a promise.
What this does, exactly
It takes the loaded range and multiplies it by four factors: how full the truck is, how fast you drive, how cold it is, and what kind of road. Then it holds back 20% as an arrival reserve, because nobody plans to arrive empty.
Every one of those multipliers is our estimate, not manufacturer data, and they are deliberately cautious. They live in data/trucks.json under planning_factors if you disagree with them.
